Where is the Me in We: The Key to Healthy Relationships
Donna Schmitz
, Outagamie County Director Foundation For a Great Marriage,  I am currently finishing my last semester in Liberty University’s Graduate program for Professional Counseling. My background includes extensive volunteer work in my Church and Community, as well as fifteen years in the Corporate Business World in Sales and Marketing.  There are two main reasons I do the work that I do. First, I went through a divorce over ten years ago and although I am currently remarried to a wonderful man and have a beautiful blended family, I know personally the ongoing pain that is experienced over the loss of my nuclear family. Divorce complicates life and especially where kids are involved. The other reason is because my husband and I are Marriage Mentors through Appleton Alliance Church and we see how often couples and families can succeed when they have the right tools and someone to come alongside them to support them through difficult times. I like what The Foundation for a Great Marriage stands for and I want to help accomplish their goals for healthy marriages.  As the County Director for Outagamie I am responsible for bringing couple wellness classes and programs to the Appleton area.
